An Introduction to something Vague

Not overthinking the creative process.

There is always a mild gravitation, that holds and pulls us into a weird ticklish feeling as we reach the introductory space. The start is always hard. It is a blank canvas, on a new space, with endless possibilities and I stand there overwhelmed by the idea of everything. This was Art for me when I stare at every blank canvas, overthinking everything.

It was only after a few weeks, when I let go my thoughts and decided to explore. Why vision the entire structure and breakdown every bit of your creative process like there are rules to follow? Art has always been a medium of expression, so I took a step back, and approached it in a manner as vague as possible.

Maybe even went overboard to calling myself, and my art alter ego as – vague.

I decided to let my thoughts and emotions of the present guide me.

Deconstructing and simplifying the creative process was never an easy task. We are coded to function in said rules and regulations, so a path away from it and added freedom with no constraints may seem divergent and lonely.

Trust, is what will bind us. Trusting myself is greatest respect I could give to my thoughts and the flow that will guide me to bring out the best.

There are countless inspirations everywhere, influencing your eye for design and your creative thinking. Add confidence and discipline to the recipe, then you have the perfect ingredients to cook your artwork and design. It is okay to get nervous over your first artwork, or the important commission, and getting overwhelmed with the multiple ideas you have. The most important note is to start and go beyond to be curious and explore. Eventually, you discipline your process and find your way of creating. Not overthinking your creative process — there is the mantra.
